Species Owner is an individual that has moderator rights to adjust values that extend beyond the Species Overriding and as such should exercise discretion in adjusting since changes affect all profiles of that species. Species Owners currently are defined at the time of species creation; moderation of the species is accessible from the main menu of the HUD.
Values that currently can be moderated are:
Stats are represented with percentages but their implementation is more involved than simply increasing or decreasing by a percentage. All stats are represented with points, the default being 1000 for each stat for every species as a baseline value; points are measured in seconds, meaning if the baseline is 1000, external forces must wait at least 1000 seconds to have 100% affect. The baseline should be considered the average human expectation for vitality, defense, arousal, etc… vaguely meaning to use sensible values.
Values that can be moderated:
An individual's stats can be affect by external sources using the aforementioned point value system; having any stat too low or too high will affect other stats and how AnE responds. If you are a scripter, you can procure a copy of the Builders Kit from the Marketplace.
Fluids can have many purposes which makes setting them appropriately important; the most prominent fluid that should be defined for the species is the Essence and Nectar fluids. There will be overrides for the individual character, but what is set here will become a character's defaults. Upon accessing a fluid property, defaults based on research will be shown that can be used as a baseline.

Values that can be moderated:
Species overriding allows you to adjust reproduction to something more desirable than what your species defaults currently are.
Minimum value is 4 days.
Maximum value is the ovulation cycle.
Maximum value is 1/10th your ovulation cycle.
Minimum value 1/10th your ovulation period.
Species are defined as either a purebreds which will have a taxonomical classification, or defined as hybrid in which there will be no classification but instead a list of other species which the hybrid is based on. Purebreds have more and more compatibility with another species the further down the taxonomical classification they match on; Hybrid are only compatible with others of their own species (but this does not mean they can not be made compatible by the various options that are provided such as partnering, forced compatibility, breeding gardens, …)
